Introduction to the event

Dr. Huang collaborates with international research groups from the Max Planck Institute and the University of California Berkeley to study the quantum dynamics of disorder-free localization in two-dimensional lattice gauge theory. Through international collaboration, Dr. Huang and his collaborators became the first group that establishes two-dimensional disorder-free localization in the lattice gauge theory by developing advanced numerical methods inspired by the artificial neural network and the corresponding physical picture.

The research team finds the wave function evolution is constrained by the topological sectors such that the behavior is closely related to the percolation phenomena and develops slow dynamical behavior that resembles localization even in a disorder-free system. The discovery was published in Physical Review Letters on 2021.

In the past year, Dr. Huang has focused on interdisciplinary research subjects related to the quantum matter. In the future, Dr. Huang will lead the research team on interdisciplinary research subjects. The research group aims to educate junior researchers to challenge unfamiliar subjects and overcome obstacles through teamwork, independent learning, and stimulating discussion.
